a. Safe Operation: Strictly follow safety procedures during installation and operation to ensure personnel safety. Avoid using sharp objects that may scratch the insulator surface.
b. Proper Installation: Pay attention to the orientation and position of the insulator during installation to prevent tilting or distortion.
c. Visual Inspection: Before installation, inspect the insulator’s exterior for any cracks or damage. After installation, conduct a comprehensive inspection including visual checks and performance tests to confirm optimal working condition.
d. Electric Field Distribution: For products rated 220kV and above, equip 1 to 2 grading rings to optimize electric field distribution, reduce corona discharge and radio interference, and protect skirt structures from burning during strong arc events.
e. Material Properties: The skirt is made of a silicone rubber-based polymer material offering excellent hydrophobicity, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance. The core rod is composed of glass fiber-reinforced resin, providing extremely high tensile strength—approximately 1.5 to 2 times that of ordinary steel. The connection between fittings and core rods uses a non-destructive mechanical crimping method, ensuring secure and reliable bonding.
