How to Clean a Dynamic Mixing Tank for Epoxy Resin

A dynamic mixing tank is a key component in epoxy resin casting and APG production lines. Proper cleaning prevents cured resin from blocking valves, pipes, and the tank itself.

If the tank is in continuous operation, it can normally run for a week without full cleaning. Operators should discharge the mixed resin, hang the feed pipe to prevent resin from curing inside the tank and pipe, and continue using it the next day.

If the tank will not be used for more than one day, it must be thoroughly cleaned with xylene or acetone. The tank interior, valves, and feed pipe should be flushed to remove all mixed resin residue. Otherwise, residual resin may cure and make the tank unusable. Regular cleaning also helps maintain mixing accuracy and extends equipment life.
